menup is what we wish existed when we ran our own restaurants. Tools should solve real problems — slow tickets, lost orders, customers reading menus that look like spreadsheets. So we built one.
We started menup in 2024 because nobody on the floor likes the software they use. Most POS systems were built for hotels and bolted onto restaurants. We took the opposite approach — design from the order pad, the QR, the open kitchen.
Restaurants are not retailers
An open table needs different software than a checkout counter. We design for the table, the kitchen, and the guest holding a phone.
Software disappears when it works
Owners shouldn't think about the dashboard. Staff shouldn't fight the interface. We measure success in tickets out per minute, not features shipped.
Your money is your money
Card and PayPal payments go directly to your account through your processor. menup never holds, escrows, or routes guest money.
